The Real Property Trusts and Estates Section of the National Bar Association is the nation’s leading collection of African American Real Property, Estate Planning, and Probate attorneys. Our attorneys are available to support individuals, families, organizations, and government entities in their Property, Probate, and Estate Planning needs and interests. Meet the Board

Terrence Quinn
Chair

Terrence G Quinn, Esq. is an estate planning attorney in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the founder and president of The TGQ Law Firm.

Mr. Quinn graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 2002 and spent the next six years practicing in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group for a major Michigan firm.

In 2008, he founded his firm, the Law Office of Terrence G Quinn, PLC, now called The TGQ Law Firm. With his signature diligence and grit, Terrence assists Michigan clients with legal assistance to help them find comfort in what lies ahead.


Jennifer Norton
Vice Chair for Trusts & Estates

Jennifer Norton was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana where she attended Indiana University-Bloomington to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. In 2008, she graduated with her law degree from the Maurer School of Law.

She treats her clients like her extended family, and is passionate and dedicated to estate planning because this field of law protects and empowers families and our community.


Tayson Gaines
Vice Chair for Real Property

Tayson Gaines practices real estate litigation including but not limited to landlord tenant disputes, foreclosure defense, partition actions, quiet title, and real estate contract disputes.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Gaines worked for a boutique law firm located in Fort Myers, FL in its civil litigation department. Mr. Gaines acquired his experience in real estate litigation by assisting with landlord tenant disputes and foreclosure defense.

Mr. Gaines handles a wide variety of complex real estate litigation matters.


Aquanetta Betts
Treasurer

Attorney Betts earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University College of Law, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and her Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida International University in Miami.

Attorney Betts is a frequent speaker at conferences, conventions, chamber of commerce meetings, and other events. She has presented on topics such as: Estate Planning for Women, Estate Planning for Business Owners, How to Get Started With Your Estate Plan, Nonprofit Strategies for Charitable Giving and Legal Planning for Seniors.


Tyechia White
Secretary

Tyechia L. White, Esq. is the founder of Trusted Legal Warrior, PLLC. After practicing law for over twelve years as a litigator, she discovered that her passion was to help people create generational wealth and family harmony, and is dedicated to ensuring her clients have legally sound, healthy, and thriving families.

Tyechia, a proud alumna of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Howard University’s School of Law, has worked as a litigator for several prominent law firms. She received the Super Lawyer’s Rising Star Award for five years, and was the past chair of the Washington Bar Association Young Lawyers' Division.
